Exclusive: The Oscar Race Begins!

The 2011 awards season is ready to shift into high gear. On the 1st day of every month, until January 2012, I will be keeping you updated on who has the inside track on winning an Oscar.

This year, for the first time in many years, Best Actress looks like the tougher field of five rather than Best Actor.

We won’t know who gets an Oscar nomination until the end of January, but I am ready to put some predictions out there on who is a lock or who is still contending or who is on the outside looking in. As each month passes, I will eliminate some from the race.
