With cameras ready to roll on the 23rd official James Bond adventure, we are days away from learning more about the cast and title. The as-of-now untitled 007 movie, will be directed by Oscar-winner Sam Mendes.
Daniel Craig will be playing Bond for the 3rd time, joining him as always will be Judi Dench as his boss M. Ralph Fiennes and Javier Bardem will be in the movie as villains. Rumors swirl that Fiennes could be playing 007′s old nemesis Blofield.
Although, only screenwriter John Logan knows who will be the main villain.
At the BAFTA Screenwriters lecture, WhatCulture reports that during the Q&A session, Logan was reminded by an audience member of a quote that he said some ten years ago that, in his opinion, “Bond should always fight Blofeld”. When pressed on this he gave a wry smile and said “Bond should always fight Blofeld”.
According to a tip sent to Twitch Film, young French actress Berenice Marlohe has landed a role in the 23rd James Bond film. The blog claims she will be playing opposite Craig, presumably as the secondary Bond Girl. There are at least two female roles up for grabs in Bond 23. Olivia Wilde and Frida Pinto are said to be up for the main Bond girl role.
Showbiz411 attended the premiere of George Clooney’s new film “The Ides of March” and on the red carpet was Daniel Craig. They quizzed the James Bond star about his third 007 outing: “Daniel Craig, who nipped into the dinner briefly, then stood outside and chatted with “Saturday Night Live” creator Lorne Michaels in the damp sorta rain. Craig told me he starts the next James Bond movie next week, which means “a lot of working out.”
Craig also knows the title.
CNN correspondent Andrea Mineo wrote on her Twitteraccount: “I think I’m interviewing Daniel Craig shortly.” An hour later, she updated followers: “So Daniel Craig just told me they are starting the next James Bond film and it’s got a title but he wouldn’t tell me it.”
Possible titles include Risico, Property Of A Lady, Devil May Care, just to name a few.
The always famous action/stunt-filled pre-credits sequence will be shot in Istanbul next month.
