Add Brad Bird (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) to the list of directors who will not direct Star Wars: Episode 7.
Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams have recently rejected the idea of directing the new Star Wars film for Disney.
Bird tweeted “Not doing Star Wars.” He then went on to tweet that “Michael Arndt is a fantastic writer and Kathy Kennedy is a brilliant producer. I will be first in line to see the new STAR WARS.”
This could become a difficult search. Restarting the Star Wars franchise is a major undertaking that might scare off a few talented directors.
