Argo, Django, Pi… that was soooooo last year!
Hey! Who’s ready to start guessing which films/performances in 2013 will get Oscar nominations? Ok, I know. Maybe it is too soon, but around this time every year I take a blind stab at who I expect to be nominated for an Oscar. This far out, it’s hit or miss, but I will give it my best shot.
A couple of notes: since I have no clue as to how many movies the Academy will nominate (anywhere from 5 to 10), I selected 10 films I would predict to be in contention for a Best Picture nom. Also, the epic film Noah has a March 2014 release date attached to it. However, they finished filming a couple of months ago and I’m hearing rumors of a late 2013 release.
